We at the Pink Cow have a new and exciting night planned! We call it Multi Kulti Musik!
It is a night of international music, people and food. We will have live bands and Djs playing interesting and dancy music from all around the world. The guests will be a mix of people- Japanese and international. And of course the Pink Cow menu has tasty dishes blending different cultures together.
And the theme for this first event is Halloween!! Decorations will be up, costumes will be worn, and spooky sounds will be heard from an international group of artists. If you come in costume, you will get a \500 discount and we will also have a costume contest with prizes :) Let's have fun and warm up for Halloween!!!
Live music and Dj performers are welcome to participate. And we want the guests to be a part of it too! If you have anything you would like to share, such as pictures/videos, dance, or anything that you want to show about your country or culture, please email us. It will be a good chance to meet and learn about new people and places. For the future, we have some interesting nights planned so let us know if you can contribute!
So please come enjoy the music, people and food from all over the world in a great casual & friendly international atmosphere! We will start early, so come for dinner and try out Chef Andy's delicious food! As it is a restaurant, the tables will be reserved only for guests ordering food until the kitchen closes at 10 pm. And feel free to invite your friends or anyone who is interested in international cultures. It's a small world after all!!
From 7pm till finish - \1,000 w/one drink. Entrance is half off if you come in costume :)
Live Music Artists:
Efrain Diaz
Martin Leroux: From both France and the Philippines hails Martin Leroux, an acoustic folk-pop musician based currently in Tokyo. While influenced by just about every musical genre there is, Martin's own music and songwriting have been compared to the likes of Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor; and sometimes shakes things up with an unlikely cover song or two. Joining him on the night is David Whitaker, rapper, musician, and emcee, on percussion and rap. http://www.reverbnation.com/martinleroux
Menocu: Menocu is the moniker of Adam Nelson, and previously the name of his band based in New York City. The music’s scope can be summarized as a push-and-pull between 90’s alternative/indie rock (Sonic Youth; Dinosaur Jr., Guided By Voices) and shoegaze (My Bloody Valentine; Ride; Swervedriver). Basically if you like 90’s rock but don’t want to hear a cheap Nirvana knock-off (though Adam concedes that Nirvana is awesome), you’ll probably really like him. http://soundcloud.com/menocuband/sets
DJs:
Hang the DJ: Hang the DJ is of course Mark J., a guy who still lives in the 80s sometimes. The music will range from Halloween favorites to electro to rock for this evening. A lot of international influences and a dance party lover, the music will get you moving!
Dj Gustavo
