私は、世界最大といわれる某結婚サイトの有料会員です。ご存知の方も多いと思いますが、いわゆる出会い系サイトと違って、あのマイクロソフト社が直接運営する国際的サイトでセキュリティは高いです。最近は、本人確認証（運転免許証、パスポート）、独身証明書（市役所の戸籍謄本）、収入証明書などの提出を求められ、詐欺・なりすまし・ひやかし・ビジネス勧誘目的その他の違反行為に対しては、「何もここまで厳しくチェックしなくても」というほどのマイクロソフト特有の過剰なまでのセキュリティ・チェックが――。ちなみに、自分のプロフィールにメールアドレスやURLやSkypeのIDなどを書き込むと、そのプロフィールは拒否されます。異論のある方も多いでしょうが、まあ、ひとまず私の実体験談をきいてみてください。そして、何かアドバイスを頂けませんか。「そんな遠距離恋愛は成功しない」とか「そんなサギ女にひっかかるな」とか（笑）……何でも言いたい放題で、お願いします。
私はいま、中国とGhana（ガーナ）の女性と交際しはじめています。ガーナといっても、黒人ではなく、イギリス人を父に持つ白人女性です（上の写真の女性）。ジェニー・ウィリアム、ガーナ国籍、３１歳、独身――。以下、ジェニーからのメールの要旨です。
