mille plateauxやmAtterからのリリースで知られ、現在はイギリス・ブライトンで活動する1984世代の若きサウンドアーティストYu Miyashitaがshotahiramaの2011年3月発売のCDアルバムSad Vacation(SIGNAL003)の楽曲を使用し、2曲のニュータイプへと圧縮変換したリミックスSad Vacation Again(SIGNAL005D)を8月15日、レーベルオフィシャルのデジタルストア限定で発売。
※本作品は2曲収録のEPアルバムだが、9月にはさらに新曲2つを追加した計4曲入りのミニアルバム(SIGNAL005R)がCDRエディションとして発売を予定している。

Sad Vacation Again はイギリス・ブライトンから1984世代の若きサウンドアーティスト Yu Miyashita がshotahirama のCDアルバム Sad Vacation （2011年発売）に収録されていた楽曲全42ファイルを使用し、2つのニュータイプへ圧縮変換したクローンアルバムである。デジタル配信のみで販売される本作は彼らのコラボレーションプロジェクトその記念すべき第一弾。今後はCD媒体でのフルアルバム発表へと共同制作が開始される。
崩壊する新建築に映える高度な物理現象とグリッチやらの歴史的背景からまるで脱臼したかのように旧プラトー形式の理論を無視した音楽構造。Yu Miyashita は Mille Plateaux や mAtter からのリリースでその名を広めているが、マス、アート、近年のネットコミュニティを中心としたポストカルチャー、そして今回のリミックスアルバムも含め彼の制作活動すべてに生じる大きな差異ひとつひとつこそが Yu Miyashita のオルタナティヴモデルたる所以であり、そしてそれが人を魅了する大きな理由でもある様に思える。今後もその構造領域の拡大が楽しみなアーティスト。

And yet another killer album from the new-type glitch artist Yu Miyahsita. Sad Vacation Again is a remix album for the original documents from shotahirama’s Sad Vacation (released in CD format from signaldada 2011 also available in digital format), rebuild by Yu Miyashita from UK, brighton. For the last few years, Yu Miyashita was working and releasing under Mille Plateaux, mAtter and symbolic interaction. This latest release from SIGNALDADA is whole new set of parameters which push the sound on the previous works to an extreme point of glitch abstraction, and haunted melodic segments from shotahirama’s original sound works. This is their first-time experimental collaboration and was made during Yu Miyashita’s recent vist to Tokyo. Only for digital release.
