：今まで多くのアーティストが、アメリカの国歌斉唱を歌って来た。
NBAオールスター戦や、NFLスーパーボウルなど。
そんな中、一番だったのでは…。
何ともソウルフルで、もはやアメリカ国歌とは別の曲のようだ。
「観客席の人達も、最初は何が起こったのか
わからなくて、手拍子をうつタイミングも合わずジッと聴き入っていたほど」
との事。
故マーヴィン・ゲイが実父に射殺される前の年に、キャリア最後に
おこなった【国歌斉唱】のパフォーマンスが、当時から話題。
CDにもなり(今は絶盤)、Dr.JがMVP受賞した希少価値NBAオールスター戦。
その場で聴いていたマジック・ジョンソンは後に
「まさに圧巻。身体が震えるほど感激した。」と語っていたとの事。
アメリカ国歌の詩の内容は「米英戦争」が発祥の為、賛否両論あると思うが、
このメロディは、好きな人も多くいるのではないだろうか。
