「唐唐 Tang Tang」

“Tangtang” is a personal story of sexual role reversal in modern-day Beijing.
Tangtang is a man during the day, but at night switches his persona and becomes a woman. His transformation is so complete that he is able to perform and make a living as a drag queen in bars all over Beijing. Though his lifestyle is far from the norms of Chinese society, Tangtang feels no disgrace or dishonor.
Tangtang falls in love with another man, Xiaohui. For a while, Tangtang and Xiaohui live happily together, but then Xiaohui abandons Tangtang.
Xun and Lily are a lesbian couple who hope to start a new life together by studying abroad in New Zealand. By chance, they happen to watch Tangtang’s performance and are mesmerized. They quickly become friends with Tangtang. Later, Xun and Lily’s relationship deteriorates, and Lily goes to study abroad leaving Xun behind.
In their despair and loneliness, Tangtang and Xun become good friends. Over the course of a year, they live together as sisters, but then fall in love. They switch sexual roles again, with Tangtang taking on the role of the woman and Xun taking on the role of the man. Their life appears normal like any heterosexual relationship: quarreling, watching TV and cooking.
Zhang Hanzi is a local television, commercial, and MTV director. This is his first documentary. He spent two years following Tangtang and Xun.

李玉 in Venezia
「残夏(Fish and Elephant/今年夏天)」という、中国初のレズビアン作品を撮った、李玉(LI Yu) 監督の新作「紅顔(Hongyan (Au fil de l’eau))」(China/France 93min)がヴェネツィア国際映画祭(http://www.labiennale.org/)で上映されることが決まったそうだ。
内容に同志色があるかどうかはまだ不明だが、今後チェックしていく予定。
ちなみに、同映画祭には關錦鵬監督の新作「長恨歌」(鄭秀文・梁家輝・呉彦祖)や李安監督の新作「The Brokeback Mountain」(http://mixi.jp/view_bbs.pl?id=301487)も出品されます。

「紅顏」講的是陥入精神困境中的中国女人的故事。
小雲在[女也]十六歳時意外懐妊並生下了一個男嬰、但被母親告知孩子夭折。
十年之後、[女也]與兒子小勇在命運的安排下重逢、但互不知情，兩人以一個小男孩和成熟女人的方式交往下去、直到発現真相……
「紅顏」的発行人燕子表示、和很多芸術影片不同、「紅顏」是一部充満希望的電影、対於遭社會遺棄的小雲來説、小勇的出現賦予[女也]生命的一抹亮色。導演李玉則解釈説明、「紅顏」在中国是個很曖昧並充滿想像空間的一個詞、而主人公小雲也確實以「紅顏」的方式生活在大家的目光當中、並有了一個「紅顏」無法逃避的世俗結果。

He holds a master degree in literature and is deputy researcher of the movie institute in Beijing Film Academy. He published 9 novels in China and Hong Kong. Among them, [Uncle’s Past] won the 2001 Germany Radio Literature Award. He also published 6 art critical article collections and art theory works in China. He is a columnist for four magazines, with columns such as Cui Zi’en Special Column, China Underground Movie, and Cui Zien Movie Critic. In 2002, he was granted a Felipa Award by IGLHRC in USA and California State Assembly Award in USA.

日本では多分全く知られていないけど、海外L&Gシーンではそれなりに有名な中国の監督(多分。ベルリンにも出品してるからね)。多分、唯一公式にカミング・アウトしている人かな。まだ北京電影学院で教鞭をとっているのかな？
どうやら、同志圏のオピニオンリーダー的存在として、メディア露出もしているようです。

すべてが簡体字なんだけど、中身はかなり面白い。
特に台湾について言及した物は作品をほとんど見ているだけに興味深い。「十七歳的天空」のプロデューサーがパネリストでいたので、彼女の発言が「十七才〜」に限らず、「盛夏光年」と「艾草」まで言及されているので、もっと色々と聞いてみたいって思ってしまうね。
どっかでそーいうメンツ呼んでイベントとかやってくれないかな(笑)。
