Japanese Lit., BDSM and Fetishコミュのnew year has come to japan!

I haven't been in SM parties lately in Tokyo,but I used to go when I lived in Europe,just a few times.I'm interested about literature and romance about SM,but not really eager to watch hardcore shows or performances.But it's just my opinion...

I go sometimes...you always meet weird people but it's very friendly.

I read lots of japanese literature years ago and Unfortunately i don't have to much time to read right now to remind this bizarre world,so I thought it would nice to remember coming here...

Well, SM parties in Europe sound exciting!
I hear a lot about them, ones in England of course,
then in Holland and Germany.
I used to go to some of those in different cities in the
US but not anymore - just check some films and literature.

I hear about tatoo/SM events in Tokyo.
I used to be into a Japanese noise band called CCCC that was involved with
SM performance. It's been half a decade or so so don't know if they are still performing...

anyways, I found a mixi community that is involved with the Tokyo Decadance you talk about.

It is still about mid January, I bet there are some sort of events going on. If I were in Japan, I'd love to start some sort of study/reading group particularly on Japanese BDSM literature. It would be fun to share our insights and perhaps learn from each other (like, how specific Japanese literature are similar or different from BDSM dipcitions of literature abroad). I might be in Tokyo for a while sometime this year or next year but for now, this is simply my resolution for this community :)

Hi Mia: Your report was really interesting! Thanks. So I you've read some Japanese lit. before. I've taken some graduate seminar courses on Japanese BDSM in North America and it was sooo much fun!!
There were not too many people and more than half were not interested in this topic (but had to take that course for some reasons) but I really enjoyed that and hoping to share the excitements with you guys. If you happen to remember something about what you've read, please don't hesitate to share with us. I'd love to hear that :)

Hey H: I haven't been to Tokyo Decadance yet but I too am curious how it is like. If you ended up going, please share us your impression, if you feel up to writing that.

There is one cable TV shows going on called Kink. This is a reality show which has been showing BDSM communities in Canada (and the US too?).
