At some work place,employees use computers and other equipment for their personal needs.Should employers allow employees to use company machine and equipment in this way?Why or why not?Give reasons or examples to support your opinion.
Should employer allow their employee to use sompany equipment? I think they shouldn't.I'll talk about the case of computer.In my ex company,one of my co-workers used to use company computer for his private.He used internet of company computer and used his business email adress for his personal needs.He stopped using doing that after some time because the president scolded at him,but that's why company computer still receive a lot of email which has nothing to do with busines at all.And I often used to use copy machine in my company for my private use. Now I think using company equipment for private needs make emplyee can't consentrate on their work.
I think it is OK of employee's using PC for their personal use.
The reason I think so is based on below 2 reasons.
1,To take care of my families while I am very busy.
In Japanese company many people take extra work after 5 pm.
It is very difficult to take care of our family and also to work hard.
<家庭と仕事を両立させるのが難しいと言いたかったのだが、良い言い方キボンヌ。>
If I can use PC for communicate with my family in short time while I am working,it is better for me to work long time in a day.
2,Better than using telephone for private use.
In my ex work place ,my boss's wife made phone call to our office for private use.
上司の妻が電話を掛けてきて、それを取り次ぐのが、とても嫌だった。
I got bad feeling when I took the phone call from boss's wihe and conected to him.
But If they had used the PC for their communication, I didn't got bad feeling.
