Hi everyone! Sorry for my idleness to write a diary and comments as home work from Hiroshi.
I will write about "monster parents" who over-protect their children and give trouble to other people, as you know.
That is because I read an article about them on news site today.
The article says that "monster parents" over-protect their children even when their children are caught shoplifting nowadays.
There is an example. In the other day, a man who was an clerk of a book shop caught a boy who was shoplifting a book and called his parents. arriveing at the shop, his parents said "WHY did you catch my son!? you should have persuaded him not to do it when you noticed his shoplifting before catching him."
In another similar case, "monster parents" said to a clerk "It is all your fault that you put goods on such place where children can pick them up easily."
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, compared with last half a year, juvnieles who are exposed as a shoplifter increased by 46% in Tokyo. Damages of book shops is also terrible. The major 14 book shops announce that their annual damage by shoplifting is 4 billion yens.
In addition, parents and their children seem to think a shoplift as a light crime.
I think parents and juveniles should know how big the damage by shoplifting and how heavy crime a shoplifting is somehow.
What do you think about this topic? tell me your opinion.
P.S. I heard that "monster parent" is Japanese-English. In English, "monster parents" seems to be called "helicopter parents".
