家族や友達の無事が確認できてほっとする一方、
テレビやネットで情報を収集するにつれ、わかってくる想像を超えた被害に
胸が痛んでやみません。
それなのに、ただただニュースで様子を見守るしか出来ないことが悔しい。
でも、テレビでニュースを見るたびに鬱々としていてても、
それじゃ何の支援にもならない。
海外にいるからこそ、私に出来ることはないか・・・
そんなことを考えている時に、はっとさせられた、アメリカ在住の日本人の方のブログです↓

もう既に行動を起こしている方がいて、それに背中を押された形ですが、
私もなるべく多くの人たちに、英語で情報提供するお手伝いをできれば、と思っています。
同じく海外在住で、何もできないことにフラストレーションを感じているみなさん。
現地の友達、お子さんや自分が通う（卒業した）学校、職場など等、
できるだけ多くの人たちへの情報提供と、募金のお願いをすることが、大きな支援になります。
特にここアメリカでは募金やチャリティー活動が盛んですから、
こちらがアクションを起こせば、みんな必ず応えてくれるはず。
「でも英語が・・・・」という方は、ぜひ上のブログの文章を活用しましょう！

あと、比較的大きな会社では、社員の募金額に相当する額を会社も募金してくれる
”Matching"というシステムもあるそうなので、そちらも是非活用しましょう。
海外で、母国語じゃない言葉で行動を起こすのは勇気がいるけれど、
それによって救われる人たちのことを思って・・・・
海外組が日本のためにできること、必ずあるはずです。

my family and friends there.

I knew the region they live wasn’t affected as seriously but couldn’t feel relieved until
I actually hear their voice.
Yet, it is still very painful to watch the devastating scenes on TV knowing that

While I’m still in shock with what has happened there, I was wondering what
I could do as a Japanese living oversea, and realized that sharing information in English is
one of them.
