最近日柄一日アホみたいに1stを聴きまくっていますが、この曲は（この曲も？）ナゾの多い曲です。意味が分かりません。よく聞き取れません。
Soundgardenがカバーしていますが、意味が通るように歌詞が替えてあるようです（聴いたこと無いです）。
1st verseと4th verseにある、two drug peddlerは、ネット上に転がっているものを採用しましたが、そうだとするとpeddlersにならないのか？それとも、「１度目は殺人者、２度目は麻薬密売人」という意味にするのか？
2ndと3rd verseは最後が逆になっていて面白いです。
4th verseの、"You don't kill the copper"は、私がそうとしか聞こえないのでそうしましたが、ネット上に転がってるのは"You done kill the copper"としています。意味が通るようにそうしたのでしょうが、そうは聞こえません。

歌詞の解釈は、対立する２つの言葉を並べて「殺人的傾向と自殺的傾向」と解釈するか、真ん中に"is"を補って「殺人的傾向は自殺的傾向」と解釈するかで大分雰囲気が変ってきます。

ちなみに、この曲を最初聴いたとき、「神様、すいませんの」と聞こえました。
