Japanese movie icon HIROYUKI SANADA is about to get LOST after landing a leading role in the final season of the hit desert island drama. The Last Samurai star will join the castaways for the sixth and final season of the show next year (10). Lost bosses have refused to discuss Sanada's character, but EW.com reports it will be a "significant recurring" role.
Details on his character and the number of episodes he will appear in are being kept under wraps.
Sanada, who has done over 70 Japanese feature films, was most recently seen in the U.S. in "Sunshine" and "Rush Hour 3." He is repped by Management 360.
Sanada joins another recent addition to "Lost," John Hawkes, tapped to play the recurring role of Lennon.
