Tipping was quite difficult for me before. How much should I give him or when ? it was complicated very much.

Once I gave a tip to a wrong guy ...i didnt really know the system, haha, the guy who were supposed to take it asked me a tip and i told him i gave it to him.

ohhhh what a shame !!

But i really didnt know it. He brought my car from the parking lot and received no tip from me, the tip was given to a wrong person. what did he think about it ? oh, no..

Did you have any problems giving a tip before ? Wanna share it with us ?

!!yeah, same!
I went to guam this summer, I didn't know how much tip I was suppose to give, I gave to much, (and also to a wrong guy)lol by the time I was leaving, my purse was so~~~light!
oops, next time I go to a foreign country, i'll ask how much tip I'm suppose to give lol
ぃもん、yeah, its always difficult for us. but you will get used to it once you live there.

Yes, you'd better know how much percent of the total charge you "may" have to give before hand, or you may ask a person sitting at the next table how much, if you have guts to do :-d

in the us, 15% is appropriate in the most situations, probably in Guam as well. If you are very much satisfied with the service and/or the food, you could even give them more. Or if you don't like the service or food, you don't even have to pay it. But for waitress, these tips are also there income. Because they are suppose to receive certain amount of tips, their salary is not very good. They actually pretty much really on it. Tipping is very important abroad, as you may know.
