”A good song is a good song,” someone wise said and that’s basically the cold fact. I’m talking of course about that we, after more gigs than we expected this summer, finally hit the rehearsal studio to write the new album.
It is always a painful but equally joyful process to write an album, inspire yourself, try to re-capture moments and actually have discipline in your work.
There is no perfect way to finish an album and for us it is always been quite different, albums to albums. If you think we’ll do like Bon Jovi once did, asking fans what kinda of songs you want us to write this time, you’re wrong, but we do listen a lot to what you say and think of our music.
The ultimate album is of course the one that fans like, critics like and you like. That will never happen I think, but I guarantee you that this time we won’t let business things come in between the making of Backyard Babies 6th studio album.
It’s kinda interesting to write during the fall. I HATE winter but it’s good in the way of skiing and working…I mean there is no nice outdoor restaurants to hang out at anymore…even though La Dame Noir’s outdoor service might be open October out. I love you guys, THANKS!!!
Working with other musicians / songwriters is also interesting…don’t know if we’ll do that this time but there’s a few people I respect and want to try and jam with…you’ll see.
I’ll hit ya back when I got some updates…till then, WE LOVE YOU ALL. And thanks for sticking around.
