Hey there, I thought it would be interesting to find out about the people who have joined the community. Tell us a little about yourself...oh go on, pretty please.

I'm Alex, and I've been living in Japan for the last 10 years doing various jobs including movie translation, English teaching and music. Now I'm enjoying life in Osaka making music and doing the learn Japanese Podcast !

I'm Dave,I've been in Japan two years,teaching English,and up till lately I was in a band.I'm also enjoying life here in Osaka.I don't speak much Japanese,but I wish to change this as I have had a falling out with a band member over the fact I can't understand Japanese nor speak it.I don't wish this to happen again if I join another group and I don't wish to be thought of as "white trash" because of my lack of language ability.As my former friend appears to think of me that way.

Cool ! What kind of music do you do Dave ? Looks like a pretty cool gig you were doing. where abouts do you live in Japan ?

Well,the bass I have is not mine and omorrow I will be returning it to the band I was just in.......I really hope to get my own one of these days,this time a lefty.

Hey Alex,hows it going?
I've been listening to the podcasts every freakin' day now since puting all the epidodes on my iPod Shuffle.Also i've been checking out some of the links like Rob's and. you and Bebs,great stuff.
So yeah we are practically neighbors,your in Nakatsu or round abouts that area,and i'm just down the road a stree or 2 off of route 2 over the Yodogawa Ohashi.And like I said before i'll try and find some time when we can get together and maybe jam a bit.
