Hello everyone, sorry i wrote my introduciton in English..I haven't confident with my Japanese yet..I will translate my introduction into Chinese soon. My name is Yi, my home city is Beijing. I am currently studying in The University of Melbourne, Australia, my major is Electronic&Telecommunication Engineering, I am a 3rd year student now. I am very interested in Japan, and i have been to Japan twice to visit my mother's Japanese friend, i have been to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sendai, Aomuri, Takasaki..i really enjoyed my trips to Japan, and i hope i can visit Japan more...When I was in Japan, I was really shocked by the level of modernization that Japan has achieved since it¡Çs open its door to the world 100 years ago, and my heart was moved by how diligent Japanese peoples are and Japanese¡Çs working spirit when I board the last train at midnight in Tokyo. Most of the Japanese people I have encountered are nice to me, thanks for their kindness and hospitality, I will definitely not forget what I experienced in Japan for my entire life. Although there are many difficulties in the relationship between China and Japan in political and history field, but as the new generation, I do hope I can contribute my effort to the better relationship for the sake of both countries. I studied Japanese in my university last year, I found it¡Çs very interesting, Kanji and Katakana is not that hard for me..but I do found difficulty in Japanese grammar(Especially the verb conjugation, I have to think so much about what is the correct form of every verb I use in Japanese).:..(Although that subject is finished now, and I won¡Çt able to choose anymore Japanese subject in my university since my major is not Japanese language study, but I do keep studying Japanese whenever I have time, it¡Çs sort of my hobby now, I feel I like to learn Japanese..~~ i hope I can make friend with all of you!
Hello, Yi-san. Nice to hear that you are very interested in Japan and Japanese. I am a Japanese born in Japan and living in Japan. I have been working for foreign company in Tokyo for more than 20 years now and been using English as a business tool. While I've been working in such foreign company, I had a lot of chance to visit and join Asia regional conferences, which are usually held in South-east Asisa, never in Japan. When I joined such company regional conferences, I had chances to meet and chat with the representative of other countries in Asia and found that more than half of them are overseas Chinese. While few Japanese, Korean and some Indian tall to each other in English, those overseas Chinese people talks in Chinese....I was so shocked and decided to learn Chinese. Although I was living in Hong Kong for two years in youger days, I could not learn Chinese at all.
I believe if you can manage English and Chinese fluently enough, you can make friend anywhere around the world, I guess!
