In case you are wondering why you were unable to hear Barakan Beat on Inter FM, unfortunately the show was discontinued at the end of April, owing to the lack of sponsorship.
I am still hoping that this situation can be rectified. If you know of any corporation that would realistically be interested in supporting a radio programme that provides a wide selection of popular music without a commercial bias, I would love to hear from you and them.
My sincere thanks go out to all who have given your support to the show over the 10 years that it ran, by the pure and simple act of listening to it. I have valued greatly the sense of community that I have savoured through my regular broadcasts on Inter FM, and I hope that my listeners have shared in that feeling.

「バラカン・ビート」を聴こうと思って放送がないので驚かれた方がいるかも知れません。大変残念なことにスポンサーが見つからない結果、4月末に放送休止状態になったことを報告しなければなりません。
番組の復帰を諦めたわけではありません。単純にリスナーの数を増やせばいいという発想の番組ではありませんが、こういう番組を支えたいという企業がどこかに存在するものだと今も夢を抱き続けています。そういった情報があったらいつでもご連絡を歓迎いたします。
また10年の間番組を聴いてくれた方々に心から感謝します。放送を通した皆さんとのやりとりから私自身は共同体のような深い満足感を得ることができましたし、皆さんにもそんな喜びを少しでも還元できたなら私は嬉しいです。
