Australia in EnglishコミュのWhat things do you miss?

Sometimes some things make a big difference.

When I was living in Japan I missed the smell of wattle and eucalyptus trees.
I had not though about it in Australia.
But still I wanted to smell them.

Now that i live in Australia, I want to eat Japanese lollies 9like Bontaname).

What little things do you wish you could have around you?

I'd like to import my Japanese friends!!! I was over there for three and a half years and since coming back, I'm not as close to the friends i had before i went to Japan... but I'm guessing that's not what you meant in this topic... I miss some of the Japanese snack foods...
Friends are important too.

I was thinking about little stuff.
Just because big stuff (like friends, family and lifestyle) are sometimes difficult to think about.

I miss my family in Japan.
My father and mother-in-law are great people.
I feel as close to them as my own parents.

Actually I call my mother-in-law "mum" (お母さん).
It makes her happy.
I miss vegemite, some chocolate which i was eating almost everyday, smiths chip and my boyfriend.
when i was in perth,i missed comedy show on tv,so i think, befor off to perth,i will buy dvds to take with me.

Wattle in Yokohama - that is cool.
I want to see it.
Where is it? Near Sakuragicho?

I miss karaoke and izakaya too.
I am getting hungry thinking about izakaya food...
Why do most people miss vegemite lol. Im a australian and i hate and i mean HATE vegemite.
Maaayte - I really missed Aussie accents in Japan.
Gotta love hearing Australia pronounced "Oz-tray-ya".
Hearing "o-su-to-ra-ri-a" still grates on my nerves.
I taught my Japanese students to speak with Aussie phonics (mostly 'cause drove the Yanks and Pommies crazy!)
