I wanted to take JLPT level 2 this July and just passed level 3 last year without revision. I want to know how hard of level 2 is. I understand I must be fail if I dont take any revision but am also wondering do I have to take some revision of level 3 as well? My base of level 3 is not strong but enough to apply it for simple conversation with Japanese. I believe if level 2 covers some of level 3, I must be fail if I just take revision for level 2. So I'm wondering do I need to have strong knowledge of level 3 to pass level 2? Thank you very much!
My friend aced the level 3 JLPT last year, but realistically he sees the July level 2 exam as a practice/preview for the same exam in December
Having a strong level 3 base will help, but the vocab and kanji you need to know is an enormous step up from level 3. Level 2 starts to enter the 'words you should know, but may not use everyday' territory. Most of the level 2 grammar should become common knowledge for anyone proficient in Japanese and is actually quite fun to study.
The test for the level 2 was pretty difficult for me, but I passed it. I took it here in Brazil!
It's really more difficult then level 3! But if you study always, you can pass it easily! GANBARE!!!
