I talk about ICHIRO. ICHIRO is Major League Baseball player. He is belonging in Seattle Mariners now. He is one of the famous major leaguer in the world. He has many baseball records in Japan and America. His real name is “Ichiro Suzuki”. And he is 34 years old. When he was three years old, he started baseball.
In 1991, he became Japanese professional baseball player. He belonged in Orix Bulewave at that time. But in his first year and second year of professional baseball player, his baseball style wasn’t admitted from his team manager. So he couldn’t activity in that year. His many records were started in his third year. In first and second year, his entry name was “Suzuki”, but he changed his entry name to “ICHIRO” in his third year. In 1994-year season, he made his first record. He made hit at 210 in one season. This record was Japan record at that time. And he got leading hitter to seven years from this year. From this record, it’s admitted his efforts from child.
And in 2001, he challenged to Major League Baseball. He use posting systems, and transferred to Seattle Mariners. He is activity in Major league too. In 2004 season, ICHIRO broke George Sisler’s single season hit record by hitting his 262 hit. This record wasn’t broke for 84 years. He is achievement 1000 hit total of Japan and America. It is the first person of Japanese player.
And he took part in world baseball classic in 2006. He was a captain of Japan team. He was sprinted very much in that games.
In the 2007 season’s all-star game he made record for the first time in history. The record is inside the park home run of all-star game. And he got MVP, gold glove award in this year.
