The Birth of Strange Street Records .
This album is finally seeing the light of day, these songs are the
early works of Tony Liddle, and they are a credit to him and others like
him, who have worked tirelessly for their art, these early tracks are
the foundation stones of Strange Street Records which over the past 25
years has built up into a collection of over 30 albums.
This collection of songs were written between 1982 and 1986.
Today's music with its high tech computers which can produce any
sound, is a far cry from the technology way back in 1983 where 'Dreams That
Holds Me' was written with the aid of an old piano from the Colliery
Inn public house, at Pelton Fell. The pub proprietor Jack Pallister
gave Tony the piano for his studio.
The story continues with Chosen, Sunday Lunch, Bird Of Prey, Night Out On Roxy, The Truth...all recorded at Strange Street 1983...Brian Johnson (AC/DC) loaned Tony a Tascam 4 track recording desk and he recorded the tracks on that, playing all the instruments
himself. The backing singer, was called Susan. 'Now And Forever' recorded and produced by Phillip Morrell at his recording studio at the back of Morrells TV repair shop Pelton.

この作品は８２〜８６年頃に録音された作品で、ロック・シーンを一人のミュージシャンとして歩き始めた時期の記録です。この作品の他にも、２５年以上のキャリアは３０枚を軽く超える作品に残され、それらの中には貴重なモノも少なくありません。さて、この作品は、現在の進歩したテクノロジーは使われず、極めてアナログな状態で録音されました。小さなパブ、そこのあるピアノ、そして、AC/DCのブライアン・ジョンソンから借り受けたTescom4に、TONYは全ての楽器を駆使し最初の記録をしました。
その後、フィリップ・モレルをPuroducerに迎え、彼のスタジオ(電気店の裏だ！)
で、素晴らしい演奏家を招いて製作されたのが本作である。
