CIRCA: makes a change for the future...
Hello Friends !!
Jay Schellen will be replacing Alan White on drums. Jay is a long time friend of ours and has already played with CIRCA: live in Mexico City earlier this year. Jay was a member of "World Trade" along with Billy Sherwood. He played drums on "The Big Peace" {Sherwood's first solo CD} as well as "Conspiracy" {Sherwood/Squire} and played with Tony Kaye in "Badfinger". His credits also include "Asia","Hurricane","GPS","Unruly Child" and many more. Jay is already part of the CIRCA: family and he is a KILLER drummer and the natural choice !! Jay will be bringing a new musical dimension to the band and also his commitment to move CIRCA: forward into the future with us.
Context for our decision: Planning any CIRCA: show was always tricky between Alan's personal schedule and YES touring. It's become clear to us that we can't bring CIRCA: to it's full potential without a full commitment from every member of the band. Understandably YES takes precedence for Alan and now with rumblings of a new YES line-up on the horizon we felt this a good time to let him go for it, so we can too. It's an amicable departure and it opens up inspiring new possibilities on both sides of the fence. Alan's imprint on CIRCA: will always live on through the debut CD as well as the CIRCA: Live DVD. With that in mind we wish him the very best for the future...
The 2ND CIRCA: studio CD is in the works and promises to be an exciting new positive step forward on our musical journey !! We are shooting for completion around the end of this year. As always we thank for all for the support and for coming along for the ride...
Peace, CIRCA:
