This is to let you know that our loving country, Burma is now in a critical juncture.
Burmese people had suffered almost half a century of misery, and going deeper and
deeper into it with every passing time. Social, education and economic systems are
almost in a state of nonexistence for such a long time that Burmese people know
nothing but misery.
Now that our revered Buddhist monks had decided to stand up against the repressive
military government.
They are taking it to the street and protesting by thousands, almost everyday, and
in almost every cities throughout the country. We all know, they are doing it out of
compassion that they have to alleviate the misery of their loving public.
They eat little yet they exert humongous amount of energy to face not only the harsh
weather of Burma but also the potential danger of the gunpoint.
Now, it is our duty to support our revered monks.
We are in the process of collecting donations from all the people who cares about
our courageous monks, and who has a desire to make this world a better place for
coming generations. Please donate through the internet http://moemaka.com/donate.html or by calling the following people.
With the deepest gratitude.

A central member of the military junta in Burma is reportedly interested in seeking political asylum in Norway. The colonel is said to have defected recently, and is now hiding in the jungle among the Karen people.
I created this petition in the hopes of urging the Nobel Committee
to give the Nobel Peace Prize to Burma's Monks. Their courage this
past week in protesting was truly inspirational. I'm not sure how
likely it is to work, but we only have a bit of time to do this since
the prize is award Oct. 12. Please sign!
I know the Nobel Committee general only accepts nominations months
beforehand, but I think this would be a great way to keep the
spotlight on the monks. Maybe the Committee would make an exception.
There is nobody else I could imagine the award going to this year. I
have also attached an op-ed as part of this campaign that will be
published in Mizzima this week, as well as other sources.
