I'm writing to express my extreme displeasure that Ray Allen has been left out of this year's All-Star game. Despite shooting 50 percent from the field, including 42 percent from 3-point range, and averaging 18 points for the 40-9 Celtics, Allen wasn't even voted onto the squad as a reserve. Instead, Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, Nelson and Devin Harris of the New Jersey Nets were the guards picked as reserves over Allen. At the start of the year, coaches around the league spoke about 'sacrificing'. However, when it comes to the All-Star game, only players with better stats are considered. Fair? I think not! hypocritical? Yes!
What's going on? How did a simple, harmless topic lead to such dispute. Look, i'm really sorry if i had offended those who isn't so keen at English. But for God's sake, you don't have to stick to this topic if you don't like it. You can always go to another topic or even start your own.

Yeah, good luck to Mo scoring a game high and win the game for the East.
don'T think so. & why him? if he puts up the same numbers last season (more or less) why is he all of a sudden an allstar just because hegot traded to a winning team?
Haha not only she's beautiful. She's got my back too
And thank you to those who responded to my topic in a intelligent and civilised manner. You can expect me to do the same thing for you should you start your own topic one day. Cheers.
It's still too early to say who will replace the injured Nelson. Whilst i still think it should be Allen, but who knows, it just might be someone totally unexpected.
i agree that Ray Allen should be the replacement of Jameer Nelson, but I have a feeling that that won't be the case
I understand that in the All-Star game, position doesn't really matter, but if you look at the East's roster, Devin Harris is the only true point guard left after Nelson's injury. So I wouldn't be surprised if David Stern chose Rajon Rondo or Mo Williams over Ray Allen. (remember last year, Ray Allen replaced Caron Butler, a player that is listed SF but is basically a SG)
I simply cannot believe the dispute is still going on.
Thanks to エリック, who is kind enough to have created an 'English only' NBA forum and that's where i shall be heading from now on.
It was NEVER my intention to start to an argument of any kind. It was nothing more than a light-hearted comment at a recent movement in the lead-up to this year's NBA All-Star game. I'm not an arrogant prick who likes to show off his English. I wrote the post in English because that's the only language i know. You have no idea how much i envy those of you who are bilingual or even trilingual.
Finally, a big shout out to those of you who responded to my comments (you know who you are and God bless). Thank you for making my first Mixi community experience so memorable. Hope to see you guys at a different forum someday. And to those of you who insulted me and my wife. Ever heard of Karma?
