This is a friendly reminder to alert you that the deadline to submit your vote for Directors to the PMI Board is fast approaching. All completed ballots must be received no later than 5:00 pm U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4), Monday, 22 August 2005.

The Project Management Institute is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 15 Directors-at-Large, elected to serve a three-year term. The terms of the service are staggered to ensure that approximately one-third of the Director terms of office expire each year. Terms of service are restricted to no more than two consecutive terms or six consecutive years. Annually, three of the Directors are elected by their fellow Directors to serve as Officers of the Institute.
The Board has four regularly scheduled meetings annually and is responsible for strategic planning and the establishment of policy with respect to activities of the Institute. The Board oversees the management, control and supervision of the business and is accountable to the worldwide membership. The day-to-day operation of the Institute is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who is subject to the policies of the Board.
