Subject: Concerns over child domestic labour
I am writing to raise my concerns about child domestic labour in India and to ask you to take measures to tackle this form of labour. The Indian Government should take urgent action to add child domestic labour to the list of prohibited (hazardous) activities under the /Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act, 1986/. A government regulation already exists that bans government employees from employing child domestic labourers. This implies that the Indian Government already recognises child domestic labour as a hazardous occupation and therefore makes the case for completely prohibiting this form of child labour even more pressing. Plans should also be developed and implemented to ensure that children who are affected by such a change in the law are not harmed by it and that measures are taken to provide support and rehabilitation for those children. I am deeply concerned at India's failure to ratify ILO Convention 182 on the worst forms of child labour. I would urge you to take the necessary steps to ensure that ratification is undertaken as soon as possible. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely, あなたの名前

Subject: Australia's failure to ratify Convention 182
Dear Minister, I am deeply concerned that Australia has not ratified International Labour Organization Convention 182 on the worst forms of child labour. As I am sure you are aware, Convention 182 defines the worst forms of child labour and outlines the steps that governments need to take to eliminate such forms of child labour in their countries. By failing to ratify this convention, the Australian Government is essentially endorsing the child labour that the convention seeks to eliminate. Please take all necessary measures to ensure that Australia ratifies this fundamental convention. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
