The NYC kill shelters are suddenly on overload plus and we need to get these little guys out! We can't do it without your help! I pulled some 4 dogs yesterday and have 8 more to get out over the next few days or these animals will die. My foster homes are full. Often we just need someoneto give an animal a comfortable and loving place to stay for a few days - you do not need to commit long term to be of help.
All will be vet checked and vaccinated before going to you.
You can find lots of helpful information about fostering on our web site - www.waggytailrescue.com If you can't foster, help with transport is also needed. If you can help please email me here or holly@waggytailrescue.com
For the dog - you are saving a life. For you - the experience is more rewarding than you may ever imagine.
If you are unable to foster but have a car and are willing to help with transport, you can also of help. The shelters are open 24/7 for registered rescue groups, so time can be very flexible. We also need help with fundraising as a few of these animals need significant medical attention (nothing communicable - one has a hernia, etc etc). But first priority is getting these animals out of the kill shelters before it is too late.
