The American military has received its shipment of 12 Osprey aircraft, welcomed to Japan by a group of protesters. Many of the protesters decry the use of these aircraft because they are considered "dangerous," but I feel that this is a mask for a different fear: that the Americans are amassing more equipment despite their insistence they will scale down operations in several years' time. That despite what is being said, the American military's acts are showing they mean to stay in Japan for a long time to come.
