I watched the news on television. The news was that Chinese people visited Okayama Prefecture (the neighbor of Hiroshima Prefecture). Their purpose was the physical checkup and sightseeing. This is a package tour.
The cost of the physical checkup is 200,000 yen (about 2,000 dollars). This is said as the medical tourism. One Chinese said,“I don't think that the cost is expensive, because medical facilities and technique are very satisfied for me”.
Of course they are very rich in China, but why don't they visit hospitals in China? Okayama Prefecture will support this plan from now on, but in this plan a treatment and a follow-up visit are difficult.
By the way the difference of income is serious in Chinese society, and the difference can be unstable factors of Chinese society in the future.
Because facilities and doctors in Japan are generally superios to their Chinese counterparts. treatment and followups, if needed, would require the foreign patient to either seek specialist care in China or return to Japan again.
Income difference is a whole other issue, which is quite against the philosophy of communism.
