I have some problems with my computer and i thought i come ask here...
I thought i downloaded a Japanese language software on my computer (pc) but i guess i didn't do it right and now my pc reads Japanese but i can't get the pc to interchange between English and Japanese. My old pc used to have Japanese in it so i know i can do this but i don't know which program to download.
So if anyone knows where I can download the program please let me know.
If you've installed Microsoft's IME, You can download it from their website.
You then need to go to "Regional and Language Options" in the control panel.
Click the languages tab and go to details.
Then add a keyboard - Japanese.
Which operating system do you have? If it's Windows XP, Vista or 7, it has built-in Japanese language support. If that's the case, all you have to do is take カイル's advice.
Of course, an even better route would be to take Ian's advice. Mac all the way!e
Okay i tried カイル's idea and since this computer didn't have office XP or whatever so i downloaded that before i download the Microsoft IME and it keeps telling me i don't have office XP....
You do have the installation CD for XP, don't you? If he bought his computer preloaded with XP, then the contents should be found somewhere on the computer. Either way, you do NOT need to download a separate Micorsoft IME. It comes with XP.
Try this - like カイル said, go to Control Panel --> Regional Language Options. Go to the "Languages" tab. Make sure you check the "Install Files for East Asian Languages" option. You will simply be prompted to restart the computer if your XP contents are on the hard disk. Otherwise, it will tell you to pop in the Windows XP installation CD.
