Those seem like rather simple questions for what I assume is a college-level thesis... what's your angle?

Those Qs are too common I think. You need to think of writing from a totally new angle and then include the above.

I think a good angle would be to explore Independence Day
from the perspective of Americans who were born elsewhere.
If it was me I would probably specifically look at the perspective
of Viet Namese Americans.
Very few have been in the U.S. longer than 35 years. A lot fled
Viet Nam in the years after the U.S. (and allies) were defeated
in the Viet Nam war.

You seem to be really lighthearted about this topic, especially considering it's a graduation thesis.

I know that it's popular to use this forum for people to do their homework assignments, but if it doesn't seem like you're taking it seriously than there's no reason for any of us to do so either.
