I can`t believe they are still stressing Madonna over that poor African boy she adopted.

I know money is not everything, and just because Madonna is rich it doesn`t mean that the boy will have a perfectly happy, productive life but I think he has a better chance with Madonna than
with his single poverty stricken mother in Malawi. For sure he will never forget his real family and with the resources Madonna has he will most likely be able to visit his mother if he wants too.
Finally, when he is older (18-21) and has control of his own life he will be in a position to not only visit his real family but help them out financially as well. Hell.... this kid is getting a chance of a life time! Like winning the freaking lottery! Madonna could adopt me anytime :)

I think people are stressed over it because it's a foreign boy ... rather than an American boy.

How come celebrities don't adopt from America? :/

Yeah, it's hard to understand criticizing someone for adopting an impoverished baby. "She only did it because.." who cares why she did it?

I think any adoption is great, fans are copycats and if Madge (we call her Madge in the UK) inspires people to adopt it's a win win.

#1 It`s almost like anyone, child or adult that had the fortune to be "in" America to begin with already had their chance at survival. There is no comparing the levels of poverty in some of the African nations to that in the USA no matter how you look at it. That might be why they are choosing to adopt from 3rd world countries instead of America. But there is no doubt a lot of children in America as well that deserve better lives. Some people have so much, while others have so little. That`s just the way it is.

Yeah... I really didn't get why people were dissing about Madonna adopting.
I don't see how providing a better life is "against the law."
