Hi, im going soon to Japan and i d like to buy japanese chef knifes and Chef jacket, well anything about cheffing cos i m a Chef in Australia right now. Does anyone know where about in Tokyo i can find a good shop selling those stuff??!!

asakusa....no?
I would recommand you wander a little around asakusa

....there I saw a lot of shops who sell chef stuff...
I hope you will find something there

Hi, I hope you have a nice time in Japan. As Wally says, there is a restaurant wholesale district in the downtown of Tokyo "Asakusa,". This place is also well known for sightseeing. You can see some famous temples and shrines, maybe b4 or after shopping at "Kappbashi" area of the town. I'll give you the link below, you can see nice imformation about the place in English. You definitely should go to Kappa-bashi in Tawara-machi for knifes, chef jacket and any kitchin stuffs.

Take Ginza-line and get off at Tawara-machi.
Make sure that some shop close on weekend...

Asakusa, Kappabashi, and

Tsukiji fish market is the good place to buy Japanese knifes especially for fish and sushi .

The nearest station is Tsukiji-shijo(Tsukiji fish market) station.

Thanks a lot guys, that s really helpfull for me because i m a Chef and i always wanted nice japanese knifes cos i know there are good quality and really nice looking too!!!!
