I posted a topic 2 month ago that I wanna go abroad to use english.
As a result I could not go abroad because I could not decide where to go.

And I considered for ages and decided to study aborad I can go for short term .

The reason I selected this way is as follow.

I was planning to go to Guam but this is not effective to study because there are many japaneses so that it would be no problem even if I cannot speak english.
I could receive a advise that you had better select the place where don't stay other japanese.

If I go abroad to study abraod ,I am going to select the place that language I can use is only english.

If anyone has other advice or recommendation about place or course ,please tell me!!

I will wait to hear from you!!!!!
I look forward to be posted.

here is teh fact:

anywhere you go, there will be japanese.

my recommendation is to go to guam. consider this tho. intercultural competence in the short term stay won't come easy as 遊学 don't do shit to ya.
I don't want to sound harsh, but I'd advise that you stay in Japan to study the English grammar a bit more before going abroad to brush up on your conversational skills. You need to get the basics covered in order to improve quickly, even in an English-speaking environment. You can't build a solid castle on the sand.
I agree with だいはど-san.
As for speaking, if you really want to be able to speak,go where few Japanese are, like one-of mid-states
in USA, somewhere suburb. Go to the Mainland.
Well when I first studied abroad, I couldn't speak much. But the best way to learn another language is to be immersed in it. I think you should go to a small town in America, because there will be few japanese people, they will mostly be other exchange students. So you will have their support while being made to speak mostly English particularly if you have a host family. Studying abroad is the best experience you can have, I would say don't wait. You have enough english skill to write this post that is more than you need to start off in another country.
I'd say an exchange in any city that the native language is english is fine as long as:

1) you make native friends
2) you don't live with japanese

I'd also recommend a homestay. Its the best way to learnt he language because you have no choice but to use enlgih
Just go where you want to go. Even if there are a lot of Japanese, you don't have to talk to them. If you're serious about English, then surely you can make the effort to talk to the natives and not just surround yourself with Japanese people.

In some ways, it could be good to have some Japanese people nearby - they'll better understand some of the things you'll be facing. It's good support.
If you don't want to go too far away from Japan, try Singapore. There are enough Japanese here if you feel the need to talk to them, but the majority of people here speak English (As well as several other languages) which should be a good way to kick you into learning it.

I'll even show you around :P
I think you should go to the US, in a countryside state like ALabama , Ohio, Wisconsin and so on >>> Couple of
my friends went to these states and their English
improved significantly....

Good Luck , ^-^

PS: Actually you could go to anyplace that you want,
even if these are populated by Japanese; you just have
to make friends from other nationalities or native and
hang out with them as much as you can ... This is
another possibility , but you have to be strong and
just try to reach your goal which is to speak English
fluently.
However if you will be a foreiner, you can find a lot of Japanese in especially the coutries using Engllish Languarge, so you should have strong intention of not using Japanese language there.
I think that the best way to enable to use only English there is to keep some friends who have interest of same yours. What is your hobby, surfing, playing instruments or tour museum? Now how about New Zealand? You can enjoy skiing!!
As far as I'm concerned, I must study grammer herein Japan more...
English grammer is not the be all and end all of English study. I feel that it is a lot more important to get a feel for natural English usage. Being exposed first hand to modern English is very important. If you study English in a foreign language you will pick up correct usage and grammer. The important thing is that you have self-motivation and are willing to work hard at perfecting you language skills. I say go for it, decide where you want to go and go! Languages are constantly changing and it takes time for these changes to filter through to textbooks. The best way, in my opinion, for you to study English is to have a genuine situation in which to relate your studies to. good luck and all the best.手(チョキ)

Might I suggest the UK?指でOK
Oh... That's why.. I mean.. your blood type is A !!!

Usually A people think too much before deciding what to do, don't you think so...???

Summer vacation time is coming soon!!
Look for some leaflets for the overseas trips!!
You just need to go!!!
Anywhere is ok, don't worry too much!!

Otherwise.., you can never decide to travel abroad!!!
Any places are similar now a day.
Of course... so many Japanese tourists everywhere too, but if you have a strong will, with not using any Japanese, it'd be fine.

Even if your trip is ended up with something unsatisfied, still you could learn more from that, I think.
You can make your next trip more meaningful!!

You really have to try one now!!
Only thinking would never bring you anything...
Make things realistic!!

Good luck!!

Never forget to let us all know about your trip story here later!!!
At my school in Indiana there are actually many Japanese students. I have asked them about this before because I feel the same way about studying Japanese. From what I gather maybe it is good to have at least a few people who speak your language that you can depend on in case something happens. Or in case you feel frustrated from being homesick.

I'm sure if you explain to Japanese friends abroad that you want to speak only English they will understand. It probably is better for both parties anyhow.

On the other hand my language study classmates hate it when I speak to them in Japanese outside of class. But maybe they aren't as dedicated as I am.

And I would suggest going to a bigger school because there is a greater chance of meeting many more people who have similar interests than at a small school like mine. When communicating in a new language you want to have something engaging to talk about right?
I must be blood type A too then... >_<

Anyway, in order to improve your English, you need to be in an environment you are comfortable. Think about your character, personality, friends... Where would you be more comfortable.

If you are relaxed, and determined to learn, it doesnt matter where you are. Even if you meet lots japanese people, which undoubtadely you WILL, as long as you are determined to either speak english with them or find native speakers (which may be hard in some areas such as New York & London) you WILL learn.

just keep remembering why you went.
my opinion is same as kitsune'指でOK

i went to Canada for only a month to study English.
Actually I wanted to stay there more than 3 months but Im college student so I couldntあせあせ(飛び散る汗)
anyway if you try do not use japanese, it doesnt matter where you are goingウインク I did really hard to speak english because i had only a month. so i always used only engligh even when i talk with japanese.
it depend on you指でOK so, you should go anywhere you want and like.ハート達(複数ハート)
