Hello everyone! I'm raising a 1-year old baby, is there anybody else in this community also raising a baby? There are times I wonder how some Japanese baby words are described in English, in terms of talking to a baby. Like, we have baby words such as "boo-boo" for a car, "tacchi" for standing up, "an-yo" for walking, "nen-ne" for sleeping, "man-ma" for foods, "nai-nai" for putting or cleaning things away, and many others. Does Englsih have such baby words which are almost completely different from the original words? I'm just curious.
Hi. let me write down some ..
I use the word tummy too.
I think that word is used within grown woman as well.
I dont think guys often use it tho. I've heard its considered to be kinda gay if they use it.
Hi, everyone, thanks for all of your kind consideration and comments! I see there is not much expression used for babies except for pee-pee and poo-poo and choo-choo and peek-a-boo and tummy, well, great! I try to teach my baby some words in English since he's now at the stage of repeating whatever he is spoken to. However, he hasn't picked any words I said yet (socks, shoe, milk, tea, etc.)
