For one of the biggest sites in Japan, mixi wikipedia page is not that impressive... actually rather useless ain't it? since we are all bored wasting time writing in english, why don't we all contribute and build mixi wiki?

Interesting idea, wikipedia did have a link to a site that showed me how to set up an account...which was more informative than the wikipedia site itself. I think the following would be useful given the fact that this is an article for English speakers written about a Japanese web page:

I think a section of mixi conventions and etiquette would be useful. For example:
* Many users set up an "ashi ato chou."
* Users are generally expected to respond to responses left on their journals before starting a new journal.
I am sure their are others...
* Dummy users that are used as directory "pages."

A run down of all the main menus with descriptions, hiragana (for all kanji used) and translations of all menu items would also be helpful. Combining elements of a manual or a user guide with something like the myspace article's sections two and three.

I think many English speakers are using Mixi as a resource for language learning and cultural exchange so they are not fully fluent in mixi. A discussion of what the priorities would be for any article about mixi can't hurt.

eh, i am not really up for the cultural exchange...
it's not that interesting anymore even tho i had this title called "cultural ambassador"... whoa, big name.
but i am willing to help strayed people out there. it would be nice to have some kinda tutorial as well huh.
