ラエルは沖縄の米軍基地閉鎖を支持します

ラエリアン・ムーブメントの精神的指導者ラエルと、数千人の日本人ラエリア
ンは、沖縄に現在ある米軍基地と今後の建設に反対を表明するためにワシントン
に赴いた日本の代表団への支持を表明しました。
３４の米軍基地が過去６７年間沖縄の地の多くを占有してきました。沖縄の人
々の大多数が毎年、米国が彼らの土地を強制的に占有していることに反対して、
定期的に平和的座り込みや抗議を行っています。
沖縄のラエリアンから招待されて最近の瞑想集会に出席したラエルは、沖縄や
日本にあるすべての米軍基地は閉鎖されるべきだと述べました。
ラエルはまた、最近のスピーチで、アジアの人々は一度も植民地主義者だった
ことはないと説明しました。「アジアの人々は大体平和的ですが、米国は世界で
最も悪い植民地主義者です。彼らは自由のために戦っていると言い、その戦略を
使って世界中に１８０の軍事基地を持っています。それに対して中国が持つ軍事
基地ははたったの二つです。米国の軍事予算は中国の軍事予算の１０００倍です。
私たちが恐れるべきなのはどちらでしょうか。
ラエルにとって、アメリカがこれらの基地すべてとさらに多くの兵器を製造す
ることを正当化するために利用している恐怖は、馬鹿げているだけではなく犯罪
的であり、日本にある７０の軍事基地はまったく不当なことです。
「さらに、日本には核兵器は一つも貯蔵されていないという米国の主張を立証し
た独立機関はひとつもありません。IAEAは日本に核兵器が一つもないということ
を確認するために少なくとも一度は調査すべきです」とラエルは言います。

Rael in support of closing US Bases in Okinawa
TOKYO, Feb 2 – Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement,
and the thousands of Japanese Raelians, have expressed their support
to the Japanese delegation in Washington, DC., opposing the presence
and new construction of US military bases in Okinawa.
34 US bases have occupied much of the Okinawa land for the past 67
years. A majority of the Okinawaians have opposed, year after year, the
forced occupation of their land by the US, organizing regular peaceful
sittings and protests.
Rael, who has been invited by the Raelians of Okinawa to attend their
latest meditation gathering, declared that all US bases in Okinawa and
in Japan should be close.
Rael also explained in a recent speech that Asian people have never been
colonialists. “Asians are mainly peaceful but America is the worst
colonialist in the world. They say they fight for freedom and use that
strategy to have 180 military bases worldwide while China has only 2.
The budget of America for military is 1000 times bigger than the Chinese
one. Who should we be afraid of?”
For Rael, the fear used by America to justify all these bases and the
building of more weapons is not only irrational but criminal and the 70
military bases in Japan are totally unjustifiable.
“Moreover, no independent organization has ever verified the US claims
that there are no nuclear weapons stored in Japan” stated Rael. “The
IAEA should at least conduct an inspection to make sure that there are
none.”
