On our way there, everything went smoothly. We stopped at the spanish border to get some beer, lunch, and cheaper gas, and then we were on our way. Concidering we had all gotten up at 6 in the morning, having a beer at 1 in the afternoon was not too early. We arrived at Madrid at 5 pm and we obviously got lost, so we were two hours late. Yet, we were still there before all the other bands. Two of us then went to confirm the hotel room and then we got lost again. They had closed most of the streets and made them one way because it was gay week. To make it worse, all the traffic to our area was closed. By the time when we made it back to the live house we were late for the sound check, so we did one song and went for a quick dinner before playing. Before we knew it, many beers later, we were up on stage. we had a very good show. it felt different because we had never played in that country before, but in a good way, the challenge and the fear and the nervousness can be used as fuel for the fire on stage. We finished our concert and everyone that was there, bands included congratulated us. There were some fans there that went because they had seen us in the Super Bock festival. we hung out drinking calimucho (cheap wine in coca-cola) with all the other bands and fans in the street. then we went back to the hotel and hung out untill 5 am, bar hopping. Next day everybody woke up with a huge hungover, and we drove back to portugal. Four hours later, our car broke down and we were stopped at the Portuguese border. The insurance company payed for our taxi for the other 300 km. That night, at Sesimbra, we had another great show. This time it was totally full because we were back home. We hung out drinking untill 4 in the morning and we drove home. We were in bed by daybreake, and because we are old our bodies are still recovering... he he... :) make sure you are there next time. see ya later!
(We only missed the japanese guys. Where were you, kakki, makoto, yasu, and sato!)
