Special guest DJ Miles Maeda in his Tokyo debut
Via Hawaii, Chicago, and San Diego, Miles Maeda has a built a 15 year career traveling the world as a deep house DJ/yoga teacher and has recently moved to Japan. Recognized by deep house headz worldwide for his legendary "Paintings" mix CD released in the late 90`s, Miles builds evocative soundscapes of hypnotic, sensual rhythms for the dancefloor. Taking the dancer and listener both on a journey, Miles has played clubs, outdoor parties, and music festivals in diverse locales from Miami to Melbourne. Cutting his teeth in the mid 90`s house scene in Chicago, Miles forged strong relationships with fellow DJs Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, and DJ Heather. Deciding to further his yoga study with several years of intense practice in various yogic arts, Miles`s spent the later half of the 90`s establishing himself as one of the most unique artists to emerge from the US house community during that decade; an artist combining deep spiritual practice alongside a dedication to advancing the music he loves.
Now officially a resident of Tokyo, Miles has begun to spread his good vibe at various yoga schools around the city. As one of the great Chicago house DJs of his generation, SOLIDTOKYO is very proud to host his official Tokyo debut for the launch of our "Solid Summer Series @ The Social". With the beautiful rooftop terraces and elegant interior of XEX in Daikainyama, SolidTokyo & The Social look forward to create a stunning, summer setting for a series of special, deep house parties in the coming months ...

DJ/プロデューサー/レーベル・オーナー、そしてヨギ（ヨガ・マスター）としての顔を持ち、芸術と精神、そして肉体の神秘を追求する真のアーティストである Miles
Maedaは、
「シカゴ・ハウス第二の波」ムーブメントの主要メンバーの一人としても知られ、
レイブ仕込みの強烈な選曲と、シカゴ育ちの卓越したMixテクをもって全世界のダンスフロアーを沸かせ続けてきた。
クラシック・ピアノの教育を長年受けていたMiles は、シカゴ流儀のミキシング・スキルに加えてプレイする曲のキーを合わせ、ハーモニーを持たせたより音楽的なスタイルを確立、アシッドハウスからディスコ、ソウルフル・ハウスからジャッキン・トラックまでが一つの物語の元にプレイされ、彼自身のプレイがまるで一曲の様に感じられるほどである。
また、プロデューサー/レーベル・オーナーとして自身のBopsaやDust
Traxx、Robsoulといったシカゴ系レーベルからリリースを重ね、アシッド・ハウスを更に深化させたベースラインに跳ねたビート、そして大胆なディスコ・サンプルを組み合わせた独特のプロダクションはハウスのみならず、テクノ・シーンからも高い評価を得ている。
