Inspired by gloomy post-punk and sleazy disco tracks, futuristic R'n'B and old horror film scores, BUNNY LAKE's Electropop follows its very own path. It is music that isn't ashamed of being glamorous, sexy, and catchy. And yet BUNNY LAKE songs never disavow the abyss that yawns behind hedonist adventures. On the contrary it is precisely when the moods change, when euphoria turns into melancholia, when innocence meets with sleaze, and pink collides with black that BUNNY LAKE comes into its own.

"We thrive on contradictions", state singer and mastermind Christian Fuchs and his partner in crime, Dr. Nachtstrom, "we almost feed on them, and that goes for both pop culture and real life. This is reflected in our lyrics that often deal with situations and people that both fascinate and repel us, that make us feel ecstatic and uncomfortable at the same time. Our sound, too, is full of antagonistic impulses. What may sound glacial to some harbours unsuspected depths of passion."

Decisive input for the "Post-Industrial-Casanova" (Time Out Magazine, NYC) Fuchs and Nachtstrom (Mego Records) comes courtesy of associate collaborators. Young glam queen Suzy On The Rocks, who came across the BUNNY LAKE Posse by accident, takes centrestage as a singer and grew into a fulltime band member quick.

Viennese Electro godfather Gerhard Potuznik a/k/a GD Luxxe (Ersatz Audio, Tigerbeat6, Chicks On Speed) not only produced the debut album "The Late Night Tapes" but also became an additional band member who lurks in the shady background. New York underground icon J.G. Thirlwell (a/k/a Foetus) contributes gloomy spoken words that seamlessly blend into this late-night soundtrack. Photographer Raphael Just was responsible for the cover shots in the style of classic 60s rock photography.

Other important contributors include Viennese agency Super Fi, responsible for the band's unusually elegant website and New York visual artists Suk & Koch with whose aid an intoxicating video for the track All That Sex" was shot in Brooklyn. The same song was featured on the last FM4 Sound Selection compilation and played on heavy rotation by the renowned station.
