After my schedulued interview with the transplants had fallen through it's only by chance that later I bumped into their frontman and rancid kingpin Tim Armstrong backstage...

"How ya' doing?" he drawls as he invites me into the transplants' comfortable tour bus. Tim is a happy man right now. Not only are the transplants co-headlining this year's warped tour on the back of the pretty damn fine "haunted cities" album, but he's also celebrating the release of his first film, the hellcat movie.

As well as the continued success if his hellcat label he's also taken to photography, snapping photos of this years warped tour and also putting together a coffee table photo book for porn website www.burningangel.com, which he will also contribute music to their forthcoming DVD. As if that wasn't enough, Armstrong os producing his first acoustic album in his studio at the back of the bus.

As he shows me around it we meet rancid drummer Brett Reed jamming on an acoustic guitar with transplants keyboardist Kevin.

"Yeah, it's all going pretty well right now. I just hope it doesn't sto," says Tim before jumping off the bus to join his crew for a quick round of baseball.
