G'day all, I'm sitting here at my desk watching Akie Abe on BBC news. She used to be a DJ and loves watching soap operas... I'm starting to yawn.. From time to time, we often see Japan on the international news, especially present and past prime ministers. I don't recall ever seeing a Japanese prime minister ever speaking English publicly. Of course, they do speak, or at least understand better than reasonable English. Why is this so??? Wouldn't it be good for a person of such stature to set an example?
