Following a hiatus that lasted the better part of a decade, Godspeed You! Black Emperor will be getting back together to play a limited number of shows in Europe and North America. Official band announcement is here:

This band’s torrential live sound, accompanied by multiple 16mm film projections, was one of the most moving and devastating musical experiences we (repeatedly) witnessed from 1996 to 2003. We are extremely excited to be able to announce that this experience will again be possible, for old and new fans alike.
For now, the only official and confirmed event is Godspeed’s curation of (and performances at) All Tommorow’s Parties’ “The Nightmare Before Christmas” during the first weekend in December 2010 in Minehead, UK.
