A cast has been selected for The Nagoya Players' production of
THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
However, there is still a lot of work to be done!
The next production meeting Sun., Feb 24
Production manager The one who oversees all the work below, coordinating the team, making sure everybody's doing okay, giving a hand when needed, sharing information in the team, asking for cooperation to the group when necessary, etc. *We have a job description Cameron wrote.
Publicity (more, the better) (Yumiko Mizuno, Midori Matsuyama and Geoffrey Rasmussen are in the team now.) A group of people who write press-releases in two languages and send them to media, newspapers, magazines, universities, radio stations, theatres, art or English related organisations, etc. to spread the show information and to attract media attention so we get exposures like interviews. They're free to plan something and ask for cooperation to the group to increase the means to reach the public.
Advertising (few staff, perhaps two) A group of people who contact bars, schools, international companies, organisations, etc. and persuade them to have an ad in our programmes for a certain price (depends on the size).
Fliers/programmes (Andy Boone, as usual, right?) A person or a group of people who design/make the fliers, posters, and programmes and arrange the printing with the printing company.
Tickets (few staff, perhaps two) A group of people who take reservations via email or phones, distribute tickets to the NP members, keep track of the number of tickets (sold, reserved, etc.), push people to sell tickets, put together the money and report the situation to the group.
Front of house (6-8 people for each show) (Jennifer Harris is the front of house manager.) A group of people who collect tickets from the audience at the reception, distribute the programmes, guide them to seats, close/open the doors before/after each performance.
Teaching Material (one person or two) The one who writes up the material on the play that we put on, so professors can teach the play in class with the material, and hopefully we get more audiences if the students come to watch.
