Web Engineers (Geeks) in TokyoコミュのSetting Up An International Site

I'm not based in Tokyo but am currently setting up a community based website in English. As soon as it's complete I hope to translate the layout into Japanese to get a large Japanese community involved. My biggest problem is I don't speak Japanese and will need a technically proficient Japanese partner to work with.

My knowledge of the Internet market in Japan is poor as I generally deal with only English sites. I specialise in Search Engine Marketing but have experience in web design and hosting.

Thank you very very much for joining my community.
I almost gave up looking for partners here.

You don't need to speak Japanese nor live in Tokyo.
The website you are setting up already sounds interesting for me because there are few Europe-based websites in Japan. But as there are so many community based websites, which are called SNS (Social Networking Service), you really have to make your website prominent among them.

Are you a programmer, designer, marketing engineer or something else?
I code Perl, SQL, XHTML, CSS.
Are you working for a company?
I'm now working freelance.

I work for a Search Engine Marketing firm but am working on this project in my spare time.

I've got the basis of the website(PHP based) almost working and am hoping to launch the main English language version soon. Your SQL skills could be useful as the site will run off a MySQL database.

I'm reluctant to discuss too much about the site here because I have been unable to find a website very similar to what I have in mind so consider the concept to be relatively unique. It's prime focus will be media sharing/entertainment and not social networking.

I'm keen to have multiple language versions of the site which I believe will be influential to it's overall success.

Is it possible to discuss this on a private thread.

Sorry for the late response.
Does "in my spare time" mean you are trying to develop the website on your own?

> I'm reluctant to discuss too much about...
I know you are.
If you want to keep your website's concept secret until you open your website, please send me your message from メッセージを送る, a private mail box nobody can see, or just email me. Tunat.Mayol@gmail.com

If your idea interests me, I think I can do something for you.
When will you launch your website?
