Katsuko Yamamoto, who is called the 'Japanese Mother Teresa', is coming to San Francisco!
Please join us for: -A screening of Katusko's new short film entitled, "I Will Blaze A New Trail." -A lecture by Katsuko Yamamoto -also featuring guest speaker Yasuko Iwasaki, the director of the film, and Hiroshi Sakane, the executive director of Peru's Amano Museum
Katsuko Yamamoto is a teacher at a special needs school in Japan. She lectures nationwide, sharing hearwarming stories about her students and their remarkable gifts.
How wonderful it is to be alive! And how important it is to share our love- Katsuko moves us to tears, and reminds us of those important things in our everyday lives that we so easily forget. The last film about Katsuko, "The Miracle of The Gifted Quarter," was screened in fourteen countries. After one screening, at Columbia University in New York, it received a standing ovation.
Yasuko Iwasaki's new film, "I Will Blaze a New Trail," is the third and latest film featuring Katsuko. It is an uplifting story about Katsuko's friend and colleague, and how her love and support helped him make an amazing recovery from a devastating brain hemmorhage. The film is in Japanese with English subtitles.
Date: Friday, August 3rd at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.
7pm-9:30pm- Film Screening, followed by a brief talk from Katsuko. 9:30-10pm- Book signing.
