After 9 years and thousands of cans of warm Red Stripe, New Rhodes have decided it’s time to call it a day. We’ve all had a great time over the last decade, which really wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful support you’ve given us (and that we can’t give back, ba-dum tssshh). We’ve met some amazing people and seen places (some good, some bloody awful) that we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet / see if it hadn’t have been for the band, so thank you so, so much. Anyway, before we cry too much...

To see off this chapter of our lives, we’ll be playing a send-off show at the Fleece & Firkin in Bristol (where the story began) on Saturday 14th August 2010. We promise to make this the best show we’ve ever done, with freebies and a surprises galore. Support comes from the brilliant My Friend Friday, so get there early! Best of all (apart from the unlimited free guestlist), you get to choose the songs – any of the ‘hits’ that we’ve played and / or released – it’s your choice.

Dearest friends and loved ones,

So, the day is almost upon us. This Saturday, 14th August 2010 sees NR play their LAST EVER gig at the Fleece & Firkin, Bristol, UK. We truly hope you can join us in celebrating 9 years of fun, frolicking and fine bottles of hooch in what we hope to be our finest show ever. Entry is FREE and goodies will be on offer. Support comes from the magnificent My Friend Friday, so get down there early. We promise it'll be worth your while.
