Majority of Filipinos in the US as well as in Europe are employed in the medical and health services. The impact to those employed in such field is considered inelastic; the world largest economy would still require doctors and nurses to attend to their health needs with or without recession. As health care employment in the US has not been negatively affected, the amount of remittance inflows from OFWs employed in such sector will remain sustainable. The deployment of newly hired workers are concentrated in Production, a substantial number are employed in the Middle East and Asia; while for Services, Professional and Technical jobs, most are deployed in the US and Europe.
