In 2005 March, he won the speed skate world each distance competition, and he decided informally to delegate of Olympic Games in Torino with Hiroyasu Shimizu who is the prince of Japanese skate.

In Olympic Games he acted as flagman. And although almost of Japanese expected that he got the medal, he got the sixth place.
The accident that the rink was hurt happened before his turn. Therefore he waited the start about ten minute.
He deeply regretted that he thought he could get the gold medal. He will revenge the Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada.
I like his attitude that he didn’t say excuse about he waited. And I am always gave happiness by his smile.
