I am Australian, but I`ve been living in Japan for the past three and a half years. I will move back to Australia in about 10 days. I love japan, but the time has come to go back...

Hey all!
My (nick)name's Golly. Aussie. Just turned 26 unfortunately :( Some of my main passions include music (listening and playing - mostly heavy and/or prog stuff), languages and computer programming.

I grew up in Wollongong, Australia (close to Sydney), went to Japan for 2.5 years, came back home but then went to Brisbane, and now a year later I'm about to move back to Wollongong again.

Wow! It's great to see so many people that love Australia. Feel free to start topics or conversations or whatever on this community! I've been kinda busy with starting work just after Easter and weekends away (including a trip to Coffs Harbour for those of you who live there or know the area on a 4WD weekend). Hope you are all having fun doing whatever you're doing.

Andrew, from Melbourne. Only been to Japan once, for a few weeks, and loved it. Learning the language. No problems at all, piece of cake（皮肉は気づいてるかな。。。）

I'm always interested to learn about Japanese experiences of Australia, from the perspectives of tourists, longer-term working holiday visitors, or permanent residents/citizens.

I'm James from Sydney. I went to Japan for 5 weeks in 2006 and loved every minute. My Japanese is pretty basic though. I rely on the altavista translation site or RikaiChan to get me anywhere!

hiya. i'm kumi. living back in Japan now, but was in melbourne till last nov. lived there for 4.5yrs. i miss melb soooo much, esp. brunswick st! i love aussie english too and after such a long time in aus, i've got a bit of aussie accent, which i'm proud of! i'm already thinking of going back there, hopefully real soon. i've also been to canberra, tasmania, sydney, brisbane, coffs, and kempsey. ..if you know kempsey, you gotta leave me a msg! hehe
