このアルバムに収録されている、「 Sinnerman (Nina Simone) 」 って曲。
Felix Da Housecat's によるリミックスなんだけど、これがかっこよくて。

原曲はNina Simoneという人が歌っていて、まずこれがもう素晴らしいの一言。
独特の歌い方をする人。だいぶ好きです。

リミックスって原曲とかけ離れた仕上がりになる事も多いじゃないですか。
それはそれでかっこいいと思うんですけど、Felix Da Housecat's が今回原曲の世界観を壊さずに仕上げたのは、この曲に限って言えば大正解だったんじゃない？と思います。

初めて聴いた時はいささか、しびれました。

ピアノのループにいかにも重鎮っぽいNina Simoneの歌声が渋すぎ。
ハウスにリミックスされてるからアゲ調子なんだけど、マッタリ夜ドライブのようなシチュエーションでも聴ける名曲。


このアルバムのシリーズは元ネタのJazzを各DJがリミックスをしたコンピレーションアルバムで、今の所３枚出てるのかな。それ無理あんだろーってのもあるけど、全体的にいい感じに仕上がっていると思います。
